Story: Bock beer has a rich connection to spring, as German monks once drank it as a meal substitute during Lenten fasts. This style gained popularity in pre-Prohibition Cincinnati, where local breweries crafted seasonal versions around Lent, inspiring the modern Bockfest. Our mascot, William Goat, adds a playful touch to this tradition. The name "Bock" originated from Bavarian brewers mispronouncing “Einbeck,” and goat imagery has long been a symbol of Bavarian culture. William Goat celebrates this history with a festive spirit!
