Girls on the Run inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. We envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. We are an after-school program that blends physical activity with life skill development, including managing emotions, fostering friendships, and expressing empathy. We empower individuals of all abilities to discover, build, and grow their self-confidence. Girls can join a team through their school or local community center. Trained volunteer coaches facilitate our research-based curriculum twice per week for 10 weeks and at the end of the season, the team completes a Community Impact Project and a 5K together, which provides a tangible sense of accomplishment and sets a confident mindset into motion. Girls on the Run Greater Cincinnati is celebrating our 20th birthday in 2024! We would love to see you at our 5K Celebration on May 11th. Without a doubt you will walk away joyful and inspired. We know our finish line is just their beginning.
Cheering for Charlie is a 501(c)(3) organization formed in January 2023 in honor of Charlie Wirtz. Char- lie, who is now three years old, was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (CP) when he was six months old. His parents, Chuck & Chelsea Wirtz, are so grateful for the support and intervention that was provided to Charlie early in his CP diagnosis. Cheering for Charlie’s goal is to support parents/caregivers and the needs of individuals with cerebral palsy and other chronic physical disabilities by providing assistance through early and ongoing support and education.

The Ohio Stormwater Association (OSWA) is a group of public and private citizens dedicated to advancing the management of stormwater and related natural resources through education, leadership, watershed-based coordination, and technical assistance in Ohio. OSWA provides educational and networking opportunities for professionals focused on reducing the negative impacts of stormwater runoff. We host 4 educational webinars each year, in addition to co-hosting the Ohio Stormwater Conference. OSWA also runs an MS4 Bootcamp training focused on MS4 education and compliance.

Wood burning simplified! This class is hot! Join Abby to create your own custom wooden board that can be used for charcuterie, a cutting board, or a board for the kiddos at the holiday. This class will be using a 9x12 bamboo cutting board. There will be several options for personalization and variety. Crafters will be able to finish after burning this piece with stain choices. Pictures are just options from past classes. They may or may not be available at this class. You will be able to add a second board or request personalization at check out if desired.
Cost for this class is $35 with the option to add personalization ($10) OR an additional board ($15). This class has 20 spots available so grab your friends and DON'T WAIT!

The Cincinnati Astronomical Society is back at Sonder Brewing at the end of this month for another installment of Star Hopping, a beer-inspired astronomy events. Friday January 27th at 6PM CAS members will be on hand to support a special release of Noctural, their Schwarzbier.

The moon will be a beautiful crescent all evening and Jupiter and Mars will be high in the sky as well. If you come right at sunset we might be able to get some views of Saturn as we lose it to the sun for a few months soon. A setting Venus will be available for a short time as well.
We start around 6PM and go til around 10PM or whenever people get too cold to come outside.
If on the 27th the sky is too cloudy or weather is otherwise poor, we will postpone until Saturday night the 28th.
